The GBATemp Homebrew Bounty is well under way. There is more than $5,000 up for grabs. The only requirement is that the project must either be completely new, or come in a new version that presents significant updates. The deadline is May 31st, 2011.

We have released CycloDS iEvolution Bootstrap v1.1 for both USA and Europe regions, available for download from the support page. The only change in this release is support Teeth whitening for a minor iEvolution hardware revision and thus only affects new customers. If you are already using your iEvolution then there is no need update.

CycloDS iEvolution running on 3DS in DSL mode on stock bootstrap and 2.1 firmware, no changes necessary - it just works. Unfortunately DSi mode is unable to be tested at the current time due to the lack of a Japanese region bootstrap.

CycloDS Evolution firmware v2.0 has been released for both Evolution and iEvolution and is available for download from the support page.
This firmware release is special for two reasons - first and foremost it marks the official release of our new product, CycloDS iEvolution. Secondly, this release makes the new and improved CycloDS GUI available to mainstream users, bringing with it improvements such as bookmarks, enhanced skinning, enhanced cheat code cassette player support, multiple save slots, file management and much more.

On our continued mission to listen our customers concerns and requests, we have noticed a few posts which touch on the issue of support for the existing Cyclo Evolution. We would like to reassure customers that the original Cyclo Evolution will continue to be supported by firmware updates in the future. Furthermore, updates for the standard Cyclo Evolution will be made each and every time(simultaneously) a new firmware release is posted for the iEVO. Team Cyclops are dedicated to supporting their current and future products. Users will be pleased to note that along with this news post we have also updated the downloads section with a new firmware for the EVO which fixes a number of prominent ROM's which users have been requesting lately.

Owing to shortages of one component used in manufacturing the iEVO cartridge, manufacturing has been delayed by about a month, meaning that shipments of the product will first be shipped second week January. We apologize to resellers and customers alike, however this is beyond our control.
Due to an internal miscommunication, we initially erroneously announced that our product in relation to DSi mode homebrew supported access to the DSi internal SD slot. We quickly amended the news post on our website after the posting, to clarify the features list. Regardless, access to the CycloDS iEVO MicroSD slot is obviously available to homebrew software.
In respect of DSi-enhanced ROM support which we promised for future release. Our team has been working hard to implement this feature to reward our loyal customers for their patience and support. We hope to please our users by announcing that BETA support is now in place for properly dumped DSi-enhanced ROM’s and this will be available ON RELEASE of the iEVO (for USA and European consoles). We will continue to improve and support DSi-enhanced ROM’s in the future and of course DSi mode support will be enabled in future iEVO firmwares for remaining regions of DSi consoles. We have seen mention of DSiWare ROM support. We are currently investigating this and hope to be able to support this feature in the future.
We hope that in future, review sites will seek clarification from us before posting unconfirmed news, to avoid confusion and to help protect the reputation of their site. Samples for review and homebrew developers are now being assembled and we will ship before general release to the public!

A quick clarification in relation to DSi mode for iEVO. Only USA and European consoles will be supported initially in the first iEVO firmware release shipped with the cart. Later firmware builds will support other regions, once our development team has completed the necessary stress testing. Please be assured that only a software firmware update is required, and no additional hardware or hardware revisions will be required to cater for these regions of consoles.

As promised, Team Cyclops are proud to announce a revolutionary feature for their soon to be release iEVO flash cart. Competitor’s devices which support the DSi, currently work only in DSL mode, which means that the unique to DSi features such as camera, improved WiFI, additional RAM, higher clock speed and DSP access are not functional. The iEVO dịch vụ kế toán, bao cao thue, nha khoa tu van du hoc will be the first flash cart in the market to enable this functionality, starting with homebrew applications and later support for commercial ROM’s. There are many potential uses for these features and we’re sure that the Homebrew scene will be delighted to support this functionality.
Team Cyclops will gladly supply legitimate Homebrew application coders with a free iEVO unit to aid development. We are offering a total of 50 pcs of the new iEVO cartridge for free to real Homebrew developers. The first 50 applicants will receive a unit for free before release (One unit per group/site). Please provide details of previous applications or DS programs you coded.

Apologies for the lack of recent news and updates.
We have been hard at work on our new CycloDS iEvolution device for DSi and DSi LL/XL consoles (DS/DSL also supported). The product boasts all of the features of the original plus a few new features which are certain to appeal to many users. The product should ship in the second week of December, just in time for Christmas! More news and photo’s coming very soon..
In the meantime we are also working on a new software release for the regular CycloDS Evolution to enhance compatibility for newer titles. We will post further news closer to the release date, announcing what improvements have been made. Thanks to all our loyal customers for their ongoing support!

CycloDS Evolution Firmware v1.55 has been released and is available for download from the support page. Changes in this release include:

- New view mode: sort by last played
- "argv" information passed to homebrew software
- Added the ability to customise the enhanced menu button trigger via config.xml
- After an in-game reset, the last game played will be selected in the game list
- Fixed Wii connectivity for Pokemon Platinum
- While traversing directories, the position of the selection in parent directories is remembered (instead of the selection being reset to the first entry each time you return to a parent directory)
- New config.xml options for setting the root directory for the game list, and customising the pos software executable launched when "Media" is selected from the main menu (so you can select between Moonshell 1, Moonshell 2 etc)

CycloDS Evolution Firmware v1.5 FINAL has been released and is available for download from the support page. Changes in this release include:
- Added the in-game text reader feature
- Battery saver mode added
- An alternative folder layout for game saves and RTS files is now supported
- Configurable rumble strength though settings menu
- Fixes to the cheat code engine
- GBA support dramatically improved and moved out of BETA. Saving problems should now be resolved and the 1MBit save type is now supported without the need to manually *patch games

Team Cyclops are pleased to announce that for some time we have had a working test setup which is capable of running CycloDS Evolution on the Nintendo DSi. We must stress however that this is part of our research only; there is still a great deal of work to be done before we can even decide if a DSi compatible device is viable or not. The DSi features a completely redesigned security system which renders all current devices incompatible and at this stage it is unknown if there is any reliable way to overcome the new measures. We will continue our research into the DSi and in the mean time, please see the following video which demonstrates what we have achieved so far Spy Equipment.

- Homebrew soft reset added, allowing you to reset back to the CycloDS Evolution GUI from almost any homebrew software with a simple button combination

The latest hardware version of CycloDS Evolution which is shipped with firmware version v1.32, is not compatible with previous firmwares (i.e. v1.31 or earlier). Some users have tried downgrading to a previous firmware release, which will fail. We will soon release a new firmware version v1.4 which has additional features and is compatible with the new CycloDS Evolution hardware.
It has also come to our attention that some CycloDS Evolution card readers are incompatible with some MicroSD cards. Should you have a reader with this issue, you may request a replacement immediately from your retailer.
